Fancy Dinner plans in the Elgin area

In honor of Restuarant Week which is happening now until April 4th, we are spotlighting some yummy foodie spots for you to try for the best week of food! If you are looking for somewhere for a nice dinner to celebrate an anniversary, new job, birthday, or engagement the Elgin area is the best place to have an important night out of celebration and good eats!

The Anvil Club– Tucked away in this quaint restaurant is a spot next to the window that has been deemed by locals as the most romantic spot in the place. If you need to impress or feel like sweeping your loved one off on a romantic evening, eat the bacon wrapped scallops or the 5oz Lobster tail for your evening out!

Jurin Japanese Restaurant: If you ever have something to celebrate why not have dinner AND entertainment? Jurin has you covered on both parts! The hibachi chef’s perform their culinary skills whilst providing exceptional food. If you want sushi you also have the choice of a rotating sushi conveyor belt to choose whatever you want. I usually get the garlic shrimp at the hibachi table and a side of spicy tuna.

Buckinghams Steakhouse and Lounge: Grab your appetite because this definitely has you covered! Every burger is made to order so enjoy the presence of your company and relax with delicious Maryland Crab Cakes and try their Surf and Turf. It is amazing!

Elgin Public House- This pub styled restaurant serves up a cozy romantic evening in their upstairs level, Club 217. Exposed brick and soft lighting harken to Speakeasies of old, complete with a bar so you don’t have to go downstairs to get a drink.I love the EPH Mac and Cheese or their Blue House burger.

Restaurant week continues until April 4! Check out all the restaurants participating here!

sarahHey there! My name is Sarah, and I am the Tourism Promoter and Events Coordinator for the Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (it’s a mouthful, I know). I’m a newbie to the Elgin area so I will be telling you first-hand accounts of events and attractions found in Elgin, through my eyes! I’ll share my adventures through videos, photography, and words.
