2 Toots Train

Long time business partners and restaurateurs Dale Eisenberg and Mike Ventre were fed up with today’s over abundance of technology geared at kids and decided to create a fun train-focused place where a new generation could connect with that heritage and develop treasured memories of their own. After years of success owning and operating The Original Pancake House franchises in Illinois and Ohio, Eisenberg reopened a nostalgic train restaurant built in 1950 (located in Chicago’s northern suburbs) that had been shuttered. After getting that restaurant back “on track,” Eisenberg and Ventre decided to create their own special place for families to enjoy a tasty meal delivered on toy trains

Anyone craving a sandwich or sangria before the concert should head to Al’s Café. There is outdoor seating to enjoy the weather or sit inside to enjoy the eclectic decorations. Make sure you do not leave without trying a famous Burns’ Malt.

Al’s Cafe and Creamery

Step inside Al’s historical Victorian style building and experience the warm and inviting atmosphere that has proudly been part of the Downtown Elgin community for more than three decades. Enjoy globally inspired American cuisine in a family friendly setting.

You would not expect your soup choice to be Brazil de Cacao or Vegetable Creole at the local malt shop, but then again Al’s isn’t your run-of-the-mill eatery. Al’s Café provides its customers with comfort food alongside more innovative dishes that are sure to delight your palate. Thanks to the creative touch of Chef Tony Jamin, each dish is made from scratch, and tastes better than even Mom’s homemade dinners.
