In a press conference scheduled for Thursday, September 21st at 11:00am at the Leafs Ice Centre in West Dundee, the Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau will announce a highly anticipated Youth Ice Hockey Tournament.

The Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau is partnering with OneHockey to host the Central State Boys’ #1 AA hockey league. This tournament will take place September 22-24, 2017 at the Leafs Ice Centre in West Dundee, IL and includes boys ages 14-18 who are ELITE players and all aspire to play in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) or the American Collegiate Hockey Association (ACHA).

“A tournament of this size has a huge impact on the Elgin Area”, stated Kimberly Bless, President/CEO of the Elgin Area Convention & Visitors Bureau (EACVB). “Sporting events are an important component of our tourism efforts at the EACVB. We meet with tournament directors from around the country at various tradeshows and this tournament is a result of our efforts. We are very excited and honored that OneHockey chose the Elgin Area to host this prestigious event.”
