Mama Lee’s Gourmet Popcorn: With over 40 flavors they hand mama leeselect and rotate signature flavors weekly to keep the masses intrigued. At their location, you’ll find an atmosphere that is much different from any other gourmet popcorn shop. There you will always be greeted by someone who is friendly and excited to see you and who will always remind you to have a “Poptastic day!” They not only want you to “Taste the Love” they want you to feel the love. I’m in love with their caramel popcorn, I’m a classic.

emmets-cupEmmett’s Brewing Company: Emmett does not only have beer on tap, but they also brew their beer on site! Order from their upscale pub food, relax with a cold pint and then take in the sights of the brewing drum. It’s just 40 feet from Emmett’s brewhouse to the tap that fills your glass — just 40 feet in which our beer is fermented, conditioned, filtered, and served. It’s not just a place to eat; it’s an experience. Try their Sunrise Burger that has a fried egg and bacon on brioche cheese.

Herbs Bakery:  When you walk in the door at Herb’s, you’re walking into a family baking tradition that Chocolatecake daybegan in Germany almost 9 generations ago. Since 1954, Herb’s has been creating and baking delicious, real bakery treats for the Elgin and Fox Valley area. From old-fashion cake donuts, hand-made Danish, Kringles and the Soft Bavarian German Pretzel Roll, to elegant and fun custom cakes and desserts, what you see there- they create there. I always grab a few of their Lemon Poppy Seed muffins for the weekend!
