Wing Park in Elgin boasts a rich history. Formally opened in 1903, the sprawling 121-acre green space offers something for everyone, including basketball and tennis courts, baseball fields, a golf course, playground, picnic shelters and a paved path that is perfect for a walk or bike ride. This community gem also caters to families with the Wing Park Aquatic Center, as well as golfers who enjoy the 9-hole Wing Park Golf Course. During the warmer months, the iconic Wing Park Bandshell comes alive with vibrant musical performances for the City of Elgin’s Concerts in the Park series. The Elgin Symphony Orchestra is a frequent participant in the series, showcasing its talent and bringing the magic of classical music to the community.
Wing Park is participating in Explore Elgin Area’s Stick and Stay Trail to celebrate serving the Elgin area for 40 years. This program allows you to win prizes when you collect 12 stickers from one of the 24 destinations participating in the program. Collect these stickers in person or digitally when you visit the attractions and submit them to the Explore Elgin Area Visitors Center to redeem your prize (as long as supplies last).
