BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir Chicago, Bartlett

Walton Island, Elgin

Walton Island, located just south of the Elgin Dam on the Fox River in downtown Elgin was created in the WPA program of the 1930s. The 4.5-acre parcel provides walking paths, fishing opportunities and a pavilion shelter for special events. The gazebo is an excellent spot to hold a wedding ceremony or take wedding photos.

Adjacent to South Elgin’s Village Hall, Panton Mill Park amenities include a permanent sound stage, large pavilion, restroom and concessions building, walking paths, streetscape lighting. With the picturesque Fox River as its backdrop, a cluster of trees located along the path is wrapped in lights and offers the perfect engagement spot.

Grafelman Park in West Dundee offers several different places that are ideal for engagements. From a long covered brick area to a gazebo and playground, Grafelman Park is a versatile location and decorated for the season.

 

Lord’s Park Pavilion, Elgin

The two story Pavilion, built in 1898, is one of the city’s most valued historical landmarks. It is located at 100 Oakwood Boulevard in the beautiful historic Lords Park, a photographic 108-acre site.

 

Fox River Trail, Elgin

If you visit during the summer and fall months you will find events happening along the trail from Carpentersville all the way south to South Elgin. The Fox River Trails pass through many forest preserves and by popular attractions. The multi-use trails offer the perfect setting for an engagement no matter the weather. The easiest access to the Trail is downtown Elgin where you can choose locations along Riverside Drive.
