Tips for a Successful National Go Fishing Day
- Get Your License: Before you head out, remember to always check the latest Illinois fishing regulations for specific size and creel limits, especially for species like largemouth and smallmouth bass, walleye, and northern pike. You can find this information where fishing licenses are sold or on the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (IDNR) website: Fishing Licenses.
- Bring the Essentials: Don’t forget bait, tackle, a cooler for your catch (if keeping), sunscreen, and plenty of water.
