The Elgin area is gearing up for another vibrant season of farmers’ markets, offering residents and visitors alike the opportunity to connect with local producers and artisans. Here’s where you can find them:
New: Burlington Open Air Market is every third Saturday from June to October at the corner of Main St. and N. Plank Road in Burlington.
The Downtown Elgin Market returns for its 2026 season beginning June 5 and running through Sept. 25, operating every Friday between 3 PM and 7 PM at S. Riverside Drive. Notably, the market will extend its hours until 8 PM on the First Fridays of the season: June 5, July 3, and Aug. 7. This market promises a diverse array of fresh produce, unique handmade goods, delectable food options, and other local treasures, all while directly supporting the dedicated farmers, skilled artisans, and thriving small businesses within the community.
East Dundee will also host its Depot Market on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., running from May 10 through Oct. 25, at 319 N. River St. This family-friendly market aims to foster community spirit by bringing people together to shop for fresh farm produce, artisan crafts, and even antique finds, encouraging interaction and the sharing of experiences.
West Dundee will host its French Market every Friday evening from 4 to 8 PM, running between May 29 and Aug. 28, near the newly renovated Pump House in the downtown area (98 Oregon Ave., West Dundee). This market is organized by Bensidoun USA, a well-known operator of European-style markets in the Chicago metropolitan area, suggesting a delightful selection of goods and a charming atmosphere. Live music will be featured on select Fridays throughout the season!
Check out the The Gather‘s Wednesday Pop Up with food trucks, mini market and live music. This will be held from May to September from 4 to 7 p.m.
The Makers Markets is returning to Riverside Drive for its monthly run. Happening for just one weekend a month from April through September, it’s the perfect excuse to get outside, enjoy the river views, and shop an incredible lineup of local creators, makers, and bakers. The market is held at Riverside Dr. in downtown Elgin on June 13–14, July 11–12, Aug. 15–16, Sept.12–13.
See Bartlett’s Rhythm & Roots Market (215 S. Main Street, Bartlett) runs from 4 to 8 p.m. and offers food trucks, markets and a range of live music. The Rhythm & Roots Market will be held June 18, July 16, Aug. 20 and Sept. 17.
Join Sleepy Hollow for its second season of the Market in the Hollow (1 Thorobred Lane, Sleepy Hollow). Set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. the vibrant community market will be held Sundays, June 14, Aug. 9, and Sept. 13.
