Get to know your neighbors (and maybe get some free ice cream!) at your local National Night Out. National Night out is a nationwide community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships. The official date is August 4, plus our communities are holding additional events the weekends before and after.

Early Celebrations

The Village of Bartlett is going all out this year as as it celebrates for the 33rd time! Highlights include a movie night pool party at Barracuda Bay Water Park, a golf event at Bartlett Hills Golf Club, and more. Bartlett’s events begin July 31.

Hampshire also kicks off the celebration early on July 31, offering a DJ, a Color Guard presentation, water slides, a movie screening, and more.

The Big Day

At August 4 events, check out drones and a police dog in Carpentersville, crafts and a dunk tank in Pingree Grove, performances and family games in Bartlett, and neighborhood block parties featuring visits from city officials in Elgin.

Community groups and local organizations are getting in on the fun too, with events from PADS of Elgin, Centro de Informacion, and American Legion Elgin Post 57.

Going Out with Style

Gilberts and South Elgin close out National Night Out Week with celebrations on Friday, August 7. South Elgin features live music and a backpack giveaway, and Gilberts offers an amazing food lineup and a special bounce house.
