It’s Miss Abby’s final Adventures in the Zoo program for the Summer 2026 season!
“Extirpated” (EX-ter-PAY-ted) means locally or regionally extinct, though not totally extinct everywhere. Did you know we used to have colorful parrots in what’s now Illinois? And that the bison roamed here until the early 1800s? That’s just two of the examples Miss Abby will be discussing in this drop-in and TOTALLY FREE program!
