Mark your calendar for free holiday fun in Bartlett! Please join the Village of Bartlett, the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce, the Lions Club, Bartlett Public Library, and the Park District for the Merry and Bright Holiday Tree Lighting in Bartlett Park at North Avenue and Oak Avenue on Saturday, December 6 between 4:30-7:30 pm. Families are invited to stop in the Log Cabin for a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus, to enjoy a visit with fun holiday characters, to take a ride on a horse drawn wagon (first come, first-served), and to enjoy caroling and hot cocoa. The highlight of the night will be a laser light show in the park! Several local vendors will also have food items for purchase, including My Cocina Grill, Kori’s Koop, Johhny G’s, and Traveling Toms. Bring your camera to capture the fun!

This year’s Merry & Bright Tree Lighting starts with a STROLL!
4:30 p.m. – Everyone is invited to assemble in the METRA lot on Oneida & Eastern for a “Stroll to the North Pole,” which will step off at 4:45 p.m.
5 p.m. – Santa and “strollers” will arrive at Bartlett Park, where Santa will light the holiday tree.
5 to 6 p.m. – Enjoy carols and music from the South Elgin High School choir and a DJ spinning holiday tunes
5 to 7 p.m. – Meet and Greet Wicked’s Glinda & Elphaba, as well as Jack Skellington & Sally from the Nightmare Before Christmas.
5:20 to 7:20 p.m. – Take a ride in the horse-drawn wagon or stop by one of the food trucks for a bite to eat.
5:30 to 7:30 p.m. – After Santa lights the tree, he will head to the Log Cabin to see children and hear their special wishes. Bring your camera to take photos of your little ones. Also, help the Lions Club help those less fortunate by bringing a non-perishable food item for the Hanover Township Food Pantry.
6 to 6:30 p.m. – Test your knowledge during Holiday Trivia hosted by Friends of the Library
6:30 p.m. – Come to the gazebo for a special storytime with Bartlett Public Library staff
7 p.m. – Enjoy a 10 to 15-minute end-of-the-night Laser Light Show to officially kickoff Merry & Bright in Bartlett!
