CROP Hunger Walk and Bike Ride

This year’s CROP Hunger Walk and Bike Ride will be held on September 27, 2026, departing from Gail Borden Library and going north along the Fox River. We will gather at the river just north of Gail Borden Library before heading north along the Fox River Trail. Bicyclists will go north to Dundee before returning. Walkers will return down Grove Avenue. Total walking distance is 2.33 miles. Raising money for your walking turns into disaster relief and economic development projects around the world and 1/4 of the money we raise returns to Elgin to fund local anti-poverty work.

CWS and CROP Hunger Walks
CROP Hunger Walks are community-based walk fundraising events held in cities and towns across the United States, created to support the global mission of Church World Service, a faith-based organization transforming communities around the globe through just and sustainable responses to hunger, poverty, displacement and disaster. After a CROP Hunger Walk ends, 25% of the funds raised is returned to the host community to support local hunger fighting efforts.
