Elgin Community College Humanities Center presents To Cut a Barber’s Hand

September 10 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Elgin Community College presents “To Cut A Barber’s Hands.”

This one-man show was written and performed by Anthony Spaulding. Anthony is an alumnus of Northwestern University’s Prison Education Program; he served 27 years at Statesville Penitentiary after being incarcerated at age 16. He was released in 2022.

We are excited to welcome Anthony Spaulding back to ECC for a special performance of his one-man show, fresh off a successful summer run at Second City in Chicago. The show incorporates drama, comedy, romance, and rap in a compelling story about his struggle to obtain a barber’s license after being released from prison.

Tuesday, September 10, 2024, 12:30 to 1:30 pm
Spartan Auditorium, Building G, Room 100
