Elgin Theatre Company proudly presents their 2024 Winter production “Filumena: A Marriage Italian Style,” by Eduardo DeFillipo, translated by Maria Tucci, Directed by Sean Patrick Hargadon.

Description:
Filumena has lived with Domenico for years but is about to be tossed a side for a younger woman. So, she pretends to be dying and invites him into a “deathbed marriage,” and that’s when things to start to go awry because she miraculously stays alive. Even though Domenico wants the marriage to be null and void, Filumena informs him she has three grown sons and one of them is his. But which one is it? This is a comedy about family, forgiveness, and redemption.
