Free Artist Workshop at Side Street in Elgin

Presented by the Elgin Cultural Arts Commission, this workshop is geared towards visual and performing artists. The goals of the workshop are to work to get rid of the “starving artist” trope, bring the reality of money into the conversation, and get everyone a lot more comfortable with paying artists.
The evening includes a roundtable discussion, visual and performing artist breakout sessions, and time for snacks and chatting.
The event will be held in the Side Street Studio Arts Gallery.
