Janus Theatre Company begins its 26th season presenting the Men on Boats by Jaclyn Backhaus.
Ten explorers. Four boats. All women and one Grand Canyon in this tale about the 1869 expedition, charting the course of the Colorado river.
The play is based on the John Wesley Powell expedition to chart the Colorado river. In this true(ish) history of the 1869 adventure, a one-armed captain and a crew of insane yet loyal volunteers set out to chart the course of the Colorado River. The play is performed by ten women who bring the story to life.
Running Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 2:00pm on June 7, 8, 9, 14, 15, 16.
