Made in Chicago: The Golden Age of Manufacturing -1872-1972 program at Gail Borden

November 21, 2024 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

Adults. For much of the 20th Century, Chicagoland was the manufacturing capital of the WORLD! More appliances, bicycles, candy, clothing, furniture, musical instruments, toys and more were mass-produced in Chicagoland than anywhere else on the planet. Come explore and celebrate Chicagoland’s proud industrial history and many of its famous companies like International Harvester, Pullman, Schwinn, Sunbeam, Motorola, and the Elgin National Watch Company, to name a few. Presenter Barbara Barrett will make history “come alive” in a fascinating and entertaining way.
