Nature in Your Neighborhood: Deer

Join Miss Judy for this fun program for the younger set as she reads a story about deer, and then leads a related simple craft project.
Free. Located at the Lords Park’s Tefft’s Farm Zoo inside the picturesque Lords Park.
Visit Takoda and new yearling bison Buffy, and this year’s summer visitors including an alpaca, miniature horses, cows, pigs, and more.
Then slip over “next door” to Elgin Public Museum for the July Scavenger Hunt, “Fascinating Firefly Facts,” and the two floors of exhibits and Discovery Room play area. Make a day of it in Lords Park — the pool is open, too.
