“Remember 9/11 in a New Light” Observance in Carpentersville

25 Years: Remember 9/11 in a New LightThis September marks 25 years since the events of September 11, 2001.
The Village of Carpentersville invites our community to come together for a special evening ceremony of remembrance at the new Riverfront Park on Friday, September 11.
As night falls, two beams of light will rise into the sky, creating a powerful tribute and a new way for our community to pause, reflect and remember.
Throughout the evening, attendees will be invited to walk the paths of Riverfront Park, lined with full-size American flags and images from September 11, creating a space to reflect on the events of that day and honor the lives forever changed by them.
The ceremony will also include guest speakers, moments of reflection and candle votives for attendees as we gather together as a community.
