Side Street Studio Arts, Going Dutch, and the Elgin History Museum present: terra incognita – mapping lands unknown
Saturday, Aug. 24, 7pm
Theater at Side Street Studio Arts (up a flight of stairs)

A residency-culminating dance performance event featuring Christine Hands and ShawnT Stone, the audience will be moved through space and time as maps of Elgin, Illinois are used to uncover history, make meaning, tell stories, and connect with community while asking the essential questions: Where are we? How did we get here? Where are we going?

This is event is free and open to the public.

Side Street Studio Arts advances engagement in the arts by providing inclusive access to exhibition, performance, education, and advocacy resources, because art is important.

Going Dutch is a celebration of female and nonbinary voices in the arts.

Elgin History Museum: Inspiring historical discovery by preserving and sharing Elgin’s heritage.
