A new piece of Elgin comes together on Saturday, June 27 at DuPage Court.

Join the City of Elgin for a free public art celebration featuring the unveiling of an original cityscape artwork by nationally recognized folk artist Eric Dowdle and the debut of The Heart of Elgin, a permanent public art installation by local artist Alisa Duda.

Experience Dowdle’s signature No Missing Piece ceremony, a community event celebrating connection and the idea that every piece helps complete the story of a city.

Created as part of Dowdle’s Land That I Love tour honoring America’s 250th anniversary, the artwork highlights the landmarks and everyday places that define Elgin.

As part of the event, attendees can watch live on-site printing of Alisa Duda’s manhole cover artwork and bring their own T-shirts to have a custom print applied.

Event highlights:

• Artwork unveiling and No Missing Piece ceremony
• Limited-edition 500- and 1,000-piece puzzles for purchase
• The Heart of Elgin artist-design manhole cover installation
• Live on-site printing and T-shirt printing

Come, enjoy and take home a piece of Elgin!
