Guest Blog Post: Mommy by the River

Fall is in the air! And I love it! There is so much to enjoy this season: Beautiful trees! Apples and pumpkins and gourds…oh my! Hayrides and bonfires! Little ones dressed up in costumes! And my son’s pending 5th birthday. What’s not to love?

In my Top Picks for the weekend of September 27-29, 2013 you will find fun-filled events to bring your kids to in the following towns: Barrington Hills, Crystal Lake, Elgin, Geneva, and Huntley. Best of all, they are all FREE or CHEAP! Enjoy! Please note that although some of the events listed continue for several days, I have highlighted dates that are especially kid-friendly with a pink note since kids are the focus of my blog events.

DISCLAIMER: The events posted below may change due to weather and other crazy circumstances, so I do encourage you to phone and/or check event information before heading out. Please note that all of the events listed are drop-in and require no registration. And if they ask who sent you…tell them The Mommy did!
