This year we have seen the continuation of a beloved holiday tradition. Driving around the neighborhood, admiring the bright, shining displays. Some spots have even started collecting donations for various nonprofits in the area. Here you can find the details on some of the best displays in the Elgin Area.

Winterfest at Randall Oaks Zoo

1180 S Randall Rd, West Dundee, IL 60118

Experience the zoo all dressed up in holiday lights! Open weekends on December 5-6, 12-13, and 19-20 from 12-6 pm. Enjoy holiday lights and decorations around our barns and animals, a bonfire, seeing our community tree sponsorships and the Big Guy himself visits from 1-4 pm each day! Event activities are subject to change and weather dependent.

Daily Admission Prices: $3.75 per resident | $4.50 per non-resident | Children ages 1 and under: FREE | Randall Oaks Zoo Members: FREE | United States Military with ID: FREE

Elgin’s Festival of Lights

Festival Park – 132 S Grove Ave, Elgin, IL 60120

Share in some holiday cheer at Elgin’s Festival of Lights! Lights will be on display nightly Saturday, December 5 through Sunday, December 27, from 5:00-9:00PM.  An enhanced show will take place Thursdays – Sundays, when three holiday themed songs will play on the half hour from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with lights dancing and twinkling to the music. Lights will remain on until 9:00 p.m. nightly.

This is a FREE event and open for all to enjoy!

The Holiday Lights Show at Goebbert’s

Goebbert’s Pumpkin Patch and Apple Orchard- 42W813 Reinking Rd, Pingree Grove, IL 60140

You and your family can enjoy the sights and sounds of Christmas while you drive thru a , in the comfort of your own car.

Online tickets are required for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Hours & Tickets: Monday & Tuesday 5pm-10pm: $15 per car | Wednesday & Thursday 5pm-10pm: $20 per car | Friday, Saturday & Sunday 5pm-11pm: $25 per car. Pricing on all nights is per car. There is no price per person.

South Elgin Holiday Lights Contest

Drive through South Elgin to view homes in the lights contest. This contest has 2 categories, Traditional and Griswold. Voting is available from Friday 12/11 through Sunday 12/20 at 11:59pm.

Drive Through Living Nativity

Poplar Creek Church – 300 E Schick Rd, Bartlett, IL 60103

Check out this unique drive through holiday experience at Poplar Creek Church.

“Be transported back in time and experience the Christmas story through the safety of your vehicle. You’ll see live characters and animals that will teach you the true meaning of Christmas.”

This event is running on Friday, December 18th and Saturday, December 19th from 6:30-8:00 PM and is FREE

Lights on Rockville

Visit this FREE residential display that is made up of 6 homes set to music.

The display will be up on Sunday-Thursday 4:30pm-8:30pm | Friday-Saturday 4:30pm-11:00pm and running through January 1st weather permitting. Please see our Facebook page for any changes to the schedule.

Amy Home Services Light Show

Stop by and tune into 89.9 to enjoy the 12 songs in this year’s light show! The show starts at 4:30PM and will run until 9PM nightly. Please pull to the side of the road not to obstruct traffic.

Donations are being accepted on behalf of the fish food pantry. Donations can be placed in a bin next to the front door.

Going Griswold – Holiday Light Show

214 Glenbrook Ct, Gilberts

Tune to 96.5 FM and enjoy watching holiday light show! Have fun watching synchronized lights to favorite holiday songs! There are 10 holiday songs in the mix including “Hamildolph” a Hamilton Christmas Parody track. The owners are collecting donations for the D300 Food Pantry and would appreciate non-perishable food items. They will be collection donation until January 1st.

The show will run on Sunday through Thursday from 4pm-10:30pm and on Friday and Saturday from 4pm- 11pm.
