Colors, lights, and sparkles adorn the streets of these towns and really show off their holiday spirits. Citizens gather at Festival Park (132 S. Grove Avenue) to view the annual tree lighting ceremony. Mayor Kaptain, members of the City Council, and Santa turn on the holiday tree lights. The 2022 Tree Lighting Ceremony is set to occur on November 26th at 5:00 p.m.

FUN, FREE ACTIVITIES FOR ALL!
Ride through downtown Bartlett in a horse-drawn wagon. Enjoy cookies, cocoa, and the DJ spinning holiday music. Santa arrives with Mrs. Claus and his elves. The Bartlett Lions Club invites you to visit Santa in the log cabin. Bring your camera to take photos of your little ones. Also, help the Lions help those less fortunate by donating a non-perishable food item to the Hanover Township Food Pantry.

Dickens in Dundee was formed in 1988. It began as a small community gathering, with caroling and the search for Tiny Tim’s crutch in local stores. With the support of local businesses, this event has grown significantly and attracts people from all over the Dundee area. The Village of East Dundee hosts a variety of activities during Dickens in Dundee such as Living Windows, Tree Lighting Ceremony, Visits with Santa, horse-drawn carriage rides, and more!

At 5 pm, the event shifts to Panton Mill Park across the street for the Village Tree lighting. BIG NEWS: This year the tree lighting will be immediately followed by a fireworks show (rescheduled from the End of Summer Music Fling). Note: while the event is free, concessions are available at budget-friendly prices
Santa Switch Tree Lighting – Sleepy Hollow

Santa will take a break from his busy schedule to visit with us and listen to the requests of all the children’s presents. One lucky person will help Santa flip the “Santa Switch” to light all seven trees and the flagpole!
