Hometown Heroes: Papa John’s West Dundee
In mid-March many restaurants were caught off guard by the sudden change of closing their dining rooms. But Papa John’s in West Dundee thought of something bigger than themselves. They thought about the individuals and families that were undergoing financial hardship.
On March 15th, Papa John’s in West Dundee began taking requests from those who were having difficulty feeding their families, especially since schools has closed. The immediacy of this response was incredible! At that time, people were still unsure what new policies to expect in response to the COVID-19 outbreak. To have been able to step up to the plate that quick and provide such strong support is amazing.
Since then Papa John’s have continued to support communities nation-wide. They’re donating pizza to health care facilities to support those on the front lines. They’ve also stepped in to assist those who are unemployed by providing many delivery jobs to meet the recently escalated demands. If you scroll through their social media pages, you’ll see they are very proud to help provide jobs to many who have lost theirs.
The Papa John’s in West Dundee continues to be supportive and present for our community. If you would like to learn more about what Papa John’s is doing across the nation, check them out on Facebook!
