Stick & Stay Trail

Welcome to the Explore Elgin Area Stick & Stay Trail! We find these trails are a great way to feature these destinations. This newest trail celebrates the 40th anniversary of Explore Elgin Area. Discover your communities unique flavor and attractions at any of the 24 destinations. Collect 12 different stickers at participating locations by the end of December 2024 to win a prize.

After going to 12 locations on this passport and collecting a sticker, you will win a prize and be put into a drawing for our grand prize! Collect all 24 stickers and be entered into the grand prize drawing twice! Use the Stick & Stay Passport to collect and showcase your stickers. You can choose between a physical passport or using the electronic passport to play. Physical passports can be picked up at the Visitors Center at 60 S. Grove Ave., Elgin, Ill.

The winner of the grand prize will be selected and announced after the Trail closes on December 31. The grand prize would be valued at over $100!

The Explore Elgin Area team has teamed up with some of the great attractions to bring you just some of the highlights of the 11 communities!

How to
get started

  1. Claim Your Passport by signing up with the button below.
  2. Go to one of the destinations that is on the trail.
  3. Some destinations will have passports or stickers to give you marking your participating at this location.
  4. Check in with your passport with your location or a photo!
  5. Go to 12 different destinations to get a reward! Or visit all 24 locations for an extra chance to win the grand prize!
  6. Come to the Explore Elgin Area Visitors Center (60 S. Grove Ave., Elgin) to pick up your stickers and, after getting 12 stickers, pick up your prize.
  7. Note that your passport must have 12 different stickers to be valid for prizes so that means that one sticker is awarded per destination for the Passport.
  8. Be sure to complete your Stick & Stay Passport before December 31 for a chance to win the grand prize!

Get started on your Stick & Stay Trail adventure with the button above! It is all you need to get started. Confirm your visit to the destination with a photo or using the location check in from the app, whichever one you prefer! For each 12 stickers you collect, you will be entered into our drawing for a prize and you will receive a cute Elgin themed sticker! If you do not receive a sticker at the destination, you can get stickers of that destination from the Explore Elgin Area Visitors Center at 60 S. Grove Ave., Elgin, Illinois. (Regular hours are 9 am to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.)

You must bring in your completed passport to the Visitors Center to receive your prize after 12 stickers. Note that your passport must have 12 different stickers to be valid for prizes so that means that one sticker is awarded per destination for the Passport.
