Explore Elgin Area is dedicated to the promotion and support of events and tournaments in our 11 partnering communities. We help host multiple sporting events every year, welcoming competitors, spectators, and officials from all over the country.
We depend on the help of volunteers. Their experience and enthusiasm are a big reason why event sponsors are attracted to the Elgin area, and we couldn’t run national sporting events without the commitment and support of our great volunteers.

Volunteering with Explore Elgin Area is a great opportunity for you to gain valuable field experience or to get involved with the local community. Our volunteers play a vital role in numerous events.
We have various volunteer opportunities for events throughout the Elgin Area. Volunteer duties differ from event to event and may range from ticket taking and moving equipment to timing and scoring. You may not be notified to volunteer at every scheduled event.
