You will never disappointed. ….always a great experience. Staff is seasoned and it shows. Pleasant staff, delicious food (so much to choose from), and desserts are to die for!

John and Stella Paul opened their restaurant first as quaint little coffee shop in downtown Elgin in 1961 with just 19 seats!

They began a tradition that continues to this day of serving only the highest quality foods.  We often hear restaurants like ours are a dying breed as we continue to make our own desserts from scratch, cut our own steaks and chops, and make different homemade “specials” each day. In the summer months we use produce from our very own garden footsteps from our kitchen.

Even into his 90s you will see our founder, Mr. Paul, at the restaurant every day, overseeing the garden or working on remodeling projects or just enjoying a meal.

Our goal is to make everyone feel like a part of the extended Paul’s family!
