Elgin Earth Summit 2024 Community Fair

Attend the 2nd annual Elgin Earth Summit, a community fair event to promote sustainability and foster community engagement during Earth Month. The event will be held Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Heritage Ballroom, at the Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way. Come for all or some of the time.
- What: Community fair, bringing sustainability focused local organizations together to meet with, and provide education to the public. Meet a wide range of local organizations. Listen to a variety of talks on sustainability. Enter free drawing for a chance to win an EV Bike (must register before or day of event, and be present at the drawing to win).
- Purpose: Fun, relaxed community event for residents, and local/regional community members to meet with local organizations, that represent a variety of sustainability topics. Learn about local and regional climate action planning and how the to get involved.
- Where: Heritage Ballroom, Centre of Elgin, 100 Symphony Way, Elgin, IL 60120
- Cost: FREE – Registration not required but encouraged.
- Event Schedule:
- 9:00a to 10:00a – attendees visit with local agency tables
- 10:00a to 12:00p – Series of 3 speakers
- 12:00-12:50p – Tables reopen/Event Wrap up
Everyone is welcome to attend regardless of prior knowledge or experience with sustainability. Light refreshments will be served.
Parking is available at the Centre, located in the heart of downtown Elgin and within walking access from both the Metra Milwaukee West District line trains and PACE bus service. Attendees are encouraged to carpool, bike or take public transit to the event.
The Elgin Earth Summit is hosted by the Elgin Sustainability Commission.
