Oh, Oktoberfest… one of the few times throughout the year that you can celebrate the drinking of beer for no reason other than that. It is one of the largest folk festivals in the world in the place where it originated, AKA Munich, Germany. However, since we are a bit of a drive from there- here are some places to hit the town in the Elgin Area.
Oktoberfest September Special – Al’s Cafe – All Month Long
Looking to make Oktoberfest an everyday thing? At Al’s Cafe on 43 Du Page Ct, Elgin, IL, you can do just that for the entire month of September! During that time, take a look at their brews and authentic German dishes to really start the festivities!
Oktoberfest Release and Celebration – Sept. 3rd, 2022 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM
Located at Black & Gray Brewing Co, you can join them for an all-day party with food, live music, and the release of their Oktoberfest Marzen beer! Stevie Craig will be there from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM to keep you entertained with his voice and electric guitar. On top of all that, authentic German cuisine from Olde Salem Cafe will keep you full!
Oktoberfest at Plank Road Tap Room – Sept. 17th – Oct 3rd, 2022
With more information to come, join the Plank Road Tap Room for their annual Oktoberfest celebration! They are located at 39W149 Plank Rd, Elgin, IL, and offer some of the best craft beer in town! There is a rotating tap list, food trucks, an award-winning beer garden, a hiking trail- and so much more to offer!
Oktoberfest at Downtown East Dundee Depot Market – Sept. 24th, 2022 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Join us for live music, fresh food, and freshly poured beer at The Depot – 319 N. River Street East Dundee! Not only will there be as much beer as you can drink, but there will also be a scarecrow display contest, inflatables for the kiddos, touch-a-truck, face painting, and a Beer Stein Hold Contest hosted by Samuel Adams at 7:00 PM!
Food and Music at Gather – Sept. 28th, 2022 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM
While there are other fun events going on, join us at the Gather Event Venue on 14n205 Reinking Rd in Pingree Grove, IL for a relaxing evening of food and music. The food for that night would be from the amazing Billy Bricks Woodfire Pizza and Burritoville.
Oktoberfest at The Anvil Club – Sept 30th, 2022 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Want to try some delicious food while you are drinking your beer? Head on over to The Anvil Club located on 309 Meier St, in East Dundee, IL for some fried potato pancakes, flammkuchen, German Potato Salad, and so much more!
