What are the dates for the trail?
The trail launched April 15th, 2023 and ends on April 15th, 2024!
How do I take part of the trail?
You can go and see the great food options by signing up for the trail! Watch the video here so see just how easy it will be to keep track of where you have been, your prizes, and the list of participating restaurants.
Do I need to notify the restaurants that I am part of this trail?
Nope! All you have to do is check in on the passport site!
Do I have to order just tacos? Can I order other things?
Nope! Order whatever you’d like. This trail promotion is meant to help drive traffic to local taco establishments around the Elgin Area.
Is there a special discount or special price on these?
Not yet, but keep looking at your passport to see if any restaurants offer a discount.
Do I need a receipt or have the restaurant confirm my order to make the stamp count?
Nope! Our passport is based on photos or geolocation to confirm your eating at these establishments.

Does my restaurant have to be invited?
No! The Explore Elgin Area team contacted over 50 different restaurants that serve tacos through social media, in-person meetings, emails, and phone calls. All of the restaurants that are currently on the trail have signed up through our form. Feel free to sign your business up on the link above!
