Being Gluten-Free can be hard. Whether it is for health reasons, a dietary preference, or if you think the bread tastes better- it can be difficult to find restaurants that have these options to cater to your needs. 

That’s why we are here- to do the research for you! Check out this list of our favorite gluten-free eateries in the Elgin Area.

Cafe Roma is known for their delicious Italian cuisine- and while you might think that you’d have to miss out on some of the fun… they do have some gluten-free options for you. They not only have a gluten-free pizza crust but they also have gluten-free pasta options! On top of that, Cafe Roma has some gluten-free salads to choose from.

Nicks Pizza – 990 S Randall Rd, Elgin, IL 60123

Nicks Pizza is a family-owned and operated unforgettable pizza place that offers, as reviewer Agatha Testa states, “The gluten-free pizza is THE best around.” The main gluten-free draw that Nicks Pizza has is their pizza crust, so if you’re craving some ‘za, try them out!

Bamboozels – 101 W Main St, West Dundee, IL 60118

When eating at Bamboozles, you may take a look at the menu and see all the options with the label “GF” next to it… this means that it will be good for you! Bamboozles offers gluten-free bun options, gluten-free pasta, and numerous gluten-free sides as well such as coleslaw, fries, chili, chips, salsa- and more!

Emmetts Brewing Company – 128 W Main St, West Dundee, IL 60118

Gluten-free people rejoice- this restaurant has a whole menu dedicated to gluten-free! Emmets Brewing Company has appetizers, soups, salads, entrees, sandwiches, and burgers! You can get anything from spinach and artichoke dip, caesar salad, grilled Atlantic salmon, tacos, and all the way to the Firestarter Burger! It is definitely worth it to try!

Al’s Cafe – 43 Dupage Ct, Elgin, IL 60120

Al’s Cafe has a multitude of different choices to choose from. From salads to burgers, to sandwiches- the option of gluten-free bread makes the menu your oyster. Their burgers are freshly made and taste delicious too!

Arabica Cafe – 59 Douglas Ave, Elgin, IL 60120

Arabica Cafe has something that a lot of places don’t- handmade gluten-free baked goods. They have scones, almond tea cookies, and the option of gluten-free bread when you eat one of their amazing sandwiches. They are also great for breakfast and lunch!

Alexanders Cafe – 1725 N State St, Elgin, IL 60123

Great for breakfast and lunch- Alexander’s Cafe has the option of gluten-free toast, corn tortillas, gluten-free pancakes, gluten-free buns, and a variety of naturally gluten-free items to satisfy your breakfast needs.

Burnt Toast Restaurant – 2492 N Randall Rd, Elgin, IL 60123

Along with some naturally gluten-free items such as skillets, omelets, and steaks, they also can serve up a side of gluten-free pancakes! Their food tastes delicious- so be sure to check them out someday!
