Start your trip with the basics, checking in to where you’ll be staying. The Elgin Pride community organizers have negotiated a special rate for our Pride Festival and Parade weekend over June 1 at the Quality Inn Elgin. Check out this page for a Full List of Accommodations in the area. As you are coming into town from I-90, you’ll pass several restaurants, but check out Alexander’s Cafe for lunch. This is one of the stops on our Taco Trail, which includes many area restaurants serving up tasty food. Sign up early in the weekend to get three stamps and be entered into our drawing.

After checking in, enjoy a night on the town with dinner at Old Republic Kitchen & Bar and enjoy live music on their patio as well as American-style cuisine. Or enjoy Italian cuisine at Cafe Roma or the steak, burgers, and wood-fired chicken at Jimmy’s Charhouse. Both restaurants are located just off the I-90 and Randall Road exit. Another unique option is traveling to Plank Road Tap Room for food trucks and drinks.
